Wir freuen uns, dass wir einen Sponsoren für den Start eines einjährigen Schulernährungsprogramms am Noluthando Day Care Center  gefunden haben. Mit 100 Euro monatlich können wir nun die 45 Kinder, die diese Krippe in Imizamo Yethu besuchen, jeden Monat mit Lebensmitteln versorgen: - Das Frühstück besteht aus Haferflocken, Weetbix oder Maismehl mit Milch - Das Mittagessen ist eine einfache, aber gesunde Mahlzeit - Nachmittags gibt es Obst und Toast mit Marmelade und Erdnussbutter Um einen Eindruck davon zu bekommen, was man braucht um einen Monat lang 45 Kinder zu ernähren, hier unser Warenkorb und die Einkaufsliste vom Mai 2011: 2kg Makkaroni, 10kg Maisgrießmehl, 10kg Reis, 10kg Mehl, 5kg Maismehl, 3kg Erbsen, 4kg Bohnen, 5kg Haferflocken, 1kg Weetbix (Weizencerealien), 10kg Zucker, 1kg Salz, 2l Kochöl, 1,5kg Erdnussbutter, 1kg Marmelade, 24l Milch, 8x Sardinen, 8x Rinderhackfleisch, 8x Sojahackfleisch, 10x Suppen & Soßen, Toilettenpapier, Spülmittel, Seife Z

To improve the living conditions in Imizamo Yethu , fostering education is essential. However, education in South Africa is not for free. Therefore, Help IY has decided to arrange school fee sponsorships for children in need. In doing so, we have found a sponsor for a 6-year-old Zimbabwean boy. He and his mum escaped the disastrous situation in their home country and came to Imizamo Yethu, seeking for asylum in South Africa. Being single and HIV-infected, his mum is working hard to feed her little family. However, money for school fees cannot be spared. Now, through our arranged sponsorship, the little boy got the opportunity to attend the pre-school Little Lambs in Imizamo Yethu.
