Mehr Lebensmittel für Noluthando

Als Teil unseres einjährigen Schulernährungsprogramms hat das Noluthando Day Care Center gerade die Lebensmittel für August erhalten. Beim Großhändler haben wir Grundnahrungsmittel wie Zucker, Maismehl und Reis in 10-Kilo-Säcken gekauft. Mit Butternut, Kartoffeln, Karotten, Zwiebeln und Birnen vom Obst- und Gemüsehändler war unser Auto schließlich randvoll gepackt.

Als wir in Noluthando ankamen, hätten wir unsere Einkäufe gerne direkt den Kindern überreicht. Zu dieser Zeit war jedoch Schlafenszeit. So waren die Einkäufe als die Kinder aufwachten schon verstaut – und das Essen  vorbereitet.

More food supplies for Noluthando

As part of our one-year school feeding program the Noluthando Day Care Center has just received the food supplies for August. At the wholesaler we've bought basics like sugar, maize meal and rice in 10kg bags. Afterwards we went to the Fruit and Veg store, buying butternut, potatos, carrots, onions, pears - just everything that was on special offer until our car was finally packed.

When we arrived at Noluthando, we would have loved to hand over the shopping directly to the kids. However, it was sleeping time then. Anyway, when the kids woke up the shopping was already stored by their teachers - and the afternoon snack prepared.
